Due for implementation in May 2018, GDPR promises to be a wake up call for businesses of all shapes and sizes.  Luckily, there are plenty of organisations out there with information to guide us through.  From consultancies who will offer a tailored service, to journalists and bloggers who are generating a wealth of open discussion.

The Information Commissioners Office, who are charged with upholding and regulating information rights in the UK, offer comprehensive information free of charge.

A Residential Conveyancer is required for a brilliant opportunity with a well established and award nominated law firm in Buckinghamshire.  My client was established more than 30 years ago and is a thriving and expanding legal firm providing a comprehensive range service . As a Residential Conveyancer, you will be managing a caseload of conveyancing matters, such as buying and selling freehold and leasehold property, re-mortgages, transfer of equity, and equity release. This role would suit an individual who is experienced as a Conveyancer and ideally be ‘qualified’ – Solicitor / Ilex or CLC.  It is essential that the individual can produce high quality work and be able to bring wonderful communication and client-care skills to the table.

Residential Conveyancing Secretary/Paralegal   to £24K Buckinghamshire

My client is a major legal practice with an enviable reputation and a passion for what they do and who they employ!  They are looking for an experienced Residential Conveyancing Secretary to provide typing and administrative support to a Senior executive and occasionally other fee earners as required.  A varied role combining the traditional support role (answering the telephone/taking messages, arranging appointments, producing completion statements arranging, sending and receiving e-mails, filing, photocopying, sending/receiving faxes) and a more admin based focus relating to conveyancing matters (dealing with clients, progressing cases, liaising with third parties, file maintenance etc)

The successful candidate will need to have strong secretarial skills including audio typing together with previous experience within the conveyancing sector.  A high standard of English grammar and spelling together with strong time management skills and the ability to deal sensitively with clients are all essential.

London Chamber of Commerce Positive About London Job Market

The London Chamber of Commerce Quarterly Economic Survey (April 2016) shows that despite some job cuts in the headlines London businesses are still more likely to be increasing their staff rather then making job cuts. This is in line with a strong increase in London actual employment over 2015.

This increase is likely to be led by larger firms, who are more optimistic than micro-businesses, about taking on more staff.
